I am Australian born of Middle Eastern and Irish heritage. The vibrant colours, geometric shapes and patterns from my mother’s Egyptian and Syrian background married interestingly with the religious and Celtic Art from my father’s Ireland and both of these cultures have influenced my work. Arabesque Art, Sacred Art from the East, Henna Art and the Australian Aboriginal dot style of painting that became prominent from the 1970s are also influential. I paint primarily with acrylic and often incorporate glass beads into my works.Through design I explore and create my own representational and symbolic art.Many of my painting designs can be intricate and therefore I usually only ever work on one painting from start to finish at any one time.

I have been selected for  the online Blake Art Prize Director’s Cut Exhibition in 2009, 2010 and 2011.

I am a current Professional Member of  NAVA.
